Keith was an amazing guide and my wife and I could not have asked for a better time! This was my wife’s first fly fishing trip, and my first time casting a Spey rod, but he had us both casting within 30 minutes. All of the equipment was top-of-the-line and he made sure that we had everything we needed to make sure we were comfortable and had a great trip. Not only was Keith an excellent guide, but his trip made for a very unique perspective of the Hoh River and Olympic National Park. We look forward to visiting the area again and booking another trip with Keith and Chrome Chasers!

Howdy Keith,
Just wanted to take a minute and thank you for such a great couple of days on the Hoh. You are hands down the best guide I have ever had the pleasure of spending a day with. You are not only an incredible fisherman but you also love what you do and it really shows. You have an awesome positive attitude which makes for a great day on the water. Be well and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Keith Allison and his guide service, ChromeChasers, is the best steelhead guide I have had the pleasure to fish with, period - and I have fished with some of the best over the last 20 years on the Olympic Peninsula, Klickitat, and Methow in the state of Washington. Keith knows all the rivers (He lives in Forks on the Peninsula), which often change on a daily and weekly basis, let alone seasonal. He seems to know every rock, log, and riffle on those rivers. His techniques and methods are solid – for both the swing and nymph. And he is an excellent teacher/coach on the two-handed game too.
He is open and wants to accommodate the client’s preferences – but he is also forthright about his recommendations in terms of which rivers and drifts to fish, and methods and techniques to apply. Of course, success in the steelhead game is anything but predictable, but he seems to dispel the “Fish of a thousand casts” adage. We got on fish every day I have fished with him.
Also, Keith often hosts accommodations in Forks and Klickitat – and if he has on your trip, I strongly recommend taking him up on that. He is an excellent cook and a gracious host. I even sat at his tying bench in the evenings, and he graciously shared some of his tying techniques and favorite flies. Keith is simply the best.

Keith is a great guide to be on the water with. Very knowledgeable on techniques and most importantly, the rivers. Thanks for getting me on the biggest Steelhead of my life! For now......;-) I will see you soon and many more times after that. "give it a little mend" - Jay S.
